Santa Specials
Christmas has arrived at the Museum!
Ride on our steam hauled train to visit Santa in his grotto and explore the Museum decorated for Christmas.
At your booked time, your train will depart from Reeds Road Station, near the Museum main entrance gates, running around the museum up to North Pole Station, from where Santa's grotto is a short walk away through the trees.
Once in the grotto family groups will be called in to meet Santa, whilst you are waiting for your turn, children may take part in craft activities with the elves in the elves workshop.
Children aged from 0-12 years visiting Santa will recieve a gift from Santa and a 'I've seen Santa' sticker. All gifts are unisex appropriate. We will ask you for the names and ages of children attending at the time of booking. All our gifts are individually named for each child.
Visitors may explore the whole museum, decorated for Christmas with period decorations in our historic buildings before and / or after visiting Santa in his grotto. Visitors wishing to explore the Museum before and or after their visit to the grotto should check closing time for that day at reception. The Museum opens at 10.00am each day of the event, the closing time varies each day. (No earlier than 16.00hrs)
The Market Garden Cafe will be open serving a range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks from our festive menu. Seating is both indoor and covered outdoors. Opening times may vary from the Museum.

Help support Rural Life Living Museum
If you are a UK taxpayer and you make a donation that is over 10% greater than the admission price, the Government will give us an extra 25% on top of your entrance fee, at no additional cost to you. It’s called a Gift Aid visit and makes a massive difference to charities like us. Gift Aid is of course entirely voluntary. If you are a UK Tax payer and would like to add the donation and Gift Aid to your visit, then please select "Include Donation with my Purchase" below.
