Scarecrow Trail 2026
This October half term, we’re holding a Scarecrow Trail, and we’re inviting everyone in our local community to create their own scarecrow.
The theme is: Once Upon a Time
We’re hoping to fill the museum with a wonderful collection of home-made scarecrows that visitors can discover around the site during half term. No need for perfection, the wonkier and more imaginative the better.
Scarecrows need to be ready by 19th October, with the trail and judging taking place on 29th October and then anyone who wants to take their scarecrow home for Halloween, is welcome to do so!
As a thank you for taking part, every entry will receive 10% off group visits or 50% off family visits to the museum (ts and cs apply) as well as a big thank you on our socials.
Anyone can enter, and we’d be absolutely delighted to have you involved. Please email us at info@rural-life.org.uk.
