Adult Course - Natural Ink Making

Join us as we welcome Sue Webber for a day of making natural ink.

What's included?

From the earliest times artists have used natural materials to create colour and line. The environment around us provides a wealth of opportunities to make ink and paint from natural materials. As well as being enjoyable to make, these natural inks are environmentally friendly.

This workshop will teach you how to make your own natural inks from a variety of plants and minerals. You will also have a chance to try a range of natural inks to see how the colours work together and what you can achieve using different pens and brushes. As well as learning how to make natural inks for yourself you will take away a pot of natural ink at the end of the workshop.

You will also learn how to make natural paints from chalk and charcoal and have an opportunity to try those paints.

Timings:
9:45am for a 10:00am start - 3:30pm

Lunch included at the Market Garden Cafe. Please let us know of any dietary requirements beforehand.

Maximum of eight spaces.

Location: Rural Life Living Museum, The Reeds Road, Tilford, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 2DL.

Sorry, no dogs allowed, with the exception of assistance dogs.

If you have any questions or require further information, please email schools@rural-life.org.uk
